The Times Union seeks a Field Supervisor (Distribution) for a defined geographic region. Reporting to the Director of Delivery Operations, this role oversees home delivery, single copy, and targeted deliveries, managing relationships with Independent Contractors and Distributors. Responsibilities include customer satisfaction, route optimization and management, recruitment and orientation of independent contractors, and adherence to budgeted expense targets. Who you are :

- Recruit and negotiate independent contractor agreements.
- Audit contract performance metrics and manage distribution contracts effectively.
- Identify cost reduction strategies and implement regional best practices.
- Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve escalated complaints.
- Ensure timely, error-free product delivery and manage warehouses.
- Supervise District Managers and field personnel.
- Prepare reports and ensure compliance with agreements.
- Qualifications :
- High School Diploma required (Bachelor’s preferred).
- 5-10 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, contract negotiation, and compliance.
- Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays approximate start time 1AM.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills.
- Valid New York driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in diverse environments (e.g., warehouse, office, field). Compensation : Competitive salary range : $65,000 - $75,000 / year, and a comprehensive benefits package. Workdays begin about midnight including weekends and holidays. You'll work 37.5 hours per week with two consecutive days off. Hours and days are subject to change and may vary as the job warrants.
