Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of complex data analyses, providing a comprehensive understanding of performance and user engagement across all touchpoints to empower strategic decision-making.
- Design and execute advanced data models and integrations, leveraging first-party and third-party datasets to provide meaningful insights.
- Build and maintain sophisticated reports and dashboards to measure KPIs related to identity resolution, consumer engagement, content consumption, and advertising effectiveness.
- Manage and oversee ongoing and ad hoc query development for deeper insights into consumer behavior and business trends across linear, digital, and connected TV (CTV) platforms.
- Conduct detailed audience segmentation and analysis to inform targeting strategies and content optimization efforts across all media channels.
- Develop and implement methodologies to analyze cross-platform audience behaviors and measure effectiveness across linear TV, digital, and CTV ecosystems.
- Utilize advanced data visualization tools to effectively communicate complex findings to a diverse set of stakeholders, from technical teams to executive leadership.
- Act as a mentor to junior analysts and data professionals, fostering collaboration and elevating the analytical capabilities of the team.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with data leads across Hearst Consumer Media, acting as a trusted advisor and partner in data-driven initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science) is required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, and/or data engineering, with a strong preference for media, publishing, or marketing environments.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL, with extensive experience in data mining and working with large-scale data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery).
- Proven experience in developing and implementing identity and audience measurement solutions.
- Advanced skills in creating reports and dashboards with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and storytelling abilities, with excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with media research tools and frameworks such as Nielsen, Comscore, or similar platforms, is highly desirable.
- Experience in CTV, and digital advertising landscapes, including knowledge of programmatic ecosystems and advanced TV measurement tools
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, lead cross-functional initiatives, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
