Delta Clinics, PLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Patient Account Representative to join our growing team. We are a multi-specialty clinic dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a comfortable and friendly environment. The Patient Account Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our practice by managing patient accounts, processing payments and resolving billing inquiries.
Job Summary:
The Patient Account Representative is responsible for all aspects of patient account management from initial billing to payment collection. This includes, but is not limited to, processing insurance claims, posting payments, addressing patient billing questions and working with insurance companies to resolve claim denials. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem solving skills, a strong understanding of medical billing procedures and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or relevant certification preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical billing and patient account management
- Strong understanding of medical insurance procedures including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance
- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems (Allscripts preferred)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privace
