Job Summary and Qualifications
This is a part -time position 20 hours per week
As the Financial Coordinator for the Valve Clinic, you will be responsible for collecting financial and insurance information from heart failure and managed care patients, verifying coverage, and obtaining required pre-certifications prior to procedures. You will act as a resource to medical directors, admitting, and finance, and communicate with insurance case managers. You will counsel patients on financial issues surrounding inpatient and outpatient care, and will communicate patient financial status with all involved parties in the process.
You will develop and maintain processes and procedures related to implant clearance to provide for maximum reimbursement, and act as being the financial liaison between the hospital inpatient and outpatient clinic with the patient / family
