The ideal candidate should have experience with communicating with patients and other health care professionals. They will be responsible for working with orders and following them through from start to finish. You will also be trained, if you already do not have experience, in compounding sterile preparations and all of the requirements needed. This position reports to the pharmacy manager.
You will assist with:
- Working with nursing staff and nursing agencies to schedule patients
- Customer service and coordinating care for patients.
- Understanding and using the pharmacy systems in place to do data entry of patient referrals. Work with referral sources to help patients receive their treatment. Work with patients to make sure they understand the process.
- Other tasks under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Assists with quality control and performance improvement activities as directed by the pharmacy manager.
- 100% training will be provided for qualified candidates.
Required:
- Good interactive skills with employees, patients, supervisors, and referral sources.
- At least 18 years of age
Preferred but not required:
- History of working with patients
- History of working in scheduling
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
