This position is located at the HOT Counseling Center located at 2800 Lyle, Waco, TX 76708 and is responsible for administrative and clinical support work to that area including organizing, coordinating, and tracking of services required in the major program area. In their capacity as Administrative Professional the individual in this position will also assist in facilitating information flow between major program areas including the Community Clinic, Older Adult Unit and Outpatient Treatment Services section in order to maximize service efficiency for clients and staff. These duties will also require direct work with clients, care givers and client supports. Work involves the application of advanced knowledge and independent judgment in the implementation, application, and monitoring of rules and standards and the compliance with them.

In their capacity as Administrative Tech the individual in this position will also assist in facilitating information flow between major program areas including the Community Clinic, Older Adult Unit and Outpatient Treatment Services section in order to maximize service efficiency for clients and staff. These duties will also require direct work with clients, care givers and client supports. Work involves the application of advanced knowledge and independent judgment in the implementation, application, and monitoring of rules and standards and the compliance with them.

- A primary work responsibility is coordinating the many functions of the front desk at the Counseling Center including oversight of the front desk service and the scheduling of other front desk staff while maintaining excellent customer service.
- This individual will also conduct financial assessments and monitor the compliance of this activity by the front desk staff.
- Position will also assist within the Consumer Eligibility Specialist department offering clerical assistance as needed.
- This individual will assist clients on a limited basis with pertinent transportation needs.
Experience and Training:
- Must have experience performing administrative support work.
- Consideration given to those with experience in working with the mentally disabled clients.
Graduated from a standard senior high school or GED.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- :Knowledge of generally accepted professional office practices.
- Ability to interact with clients in a professional manner while keeping customer service a priority.
- Must have excellent computer skills and knowledge.
- Ability and work with staff and the ability to communicate effectively both written and oral, face to face and through phone contacts.
- Ability to enhance a professional working relationship with organizations as well as Clinic staff.
- Must be able to meet the essential requirement of regular dependable attendance.
- Must have and maintain a level of general health that permits the performance of job duties.
- Must be able to perform skills required for CPR and PMAB certification.
- Physical ability to sit for extended periods; working at a computer; lifting up to 30 pounds; some stooping, bending and kneeling required.
