We are seeking a Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist ll to manage the administrative and record-keeping functions of our HIM department. In this vital role, you will maintain the integrity of both paper and electronic health records by handling various tasks such as retrieving, prepping, scanning, indexing, filing, and reconciling patient medical records. Additionally, you will review and respond to confidential health information requests while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and Colorado law.

- Review and respond to requests for confidential health information from authorized requestors.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external requestors.

Requirements
EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION
Required Experience
- A minimum of one year of HIM/medical records department, patient financial services department, provider practice, or other healthcare setting; and
- Customer service
- Experience with electronic health records
- Associate degree in Health Care Field
- Completed course in medical
- Credentials
- RHIT
- RHIA
- CHPS
