What's your day like?
The Office Administrator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the regional back-office functions within the organization, including oversight of IT systems, facilities management, and general office support. The Office Administrator also assists with some routine HR functions. This role combines administrative support, operational management, and customer service excellence. The Office Administrator will ensure all office needs are met, provide technical assistance, coordinate facilities-related tasks, and maintain high standards of service for visitors and employees. They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining processes, procedures and policies for various back-office functions across the organization.

To thrive as an Office Administrator at Heart of West Michigan United Way, you will need a robust skill set. A minimum of two years' experience in office administration or a related field is required You should excel at establishing and maintaining effective relationships with management, employees, and community partners. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines is crucial for success. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a must, alongside an intermediate understanding of technology and support systems, including hardware and networking.
Strong communication and organizational skills are vital, ensuring that tasks are carried out efficiently. Attention to detail is paramount in maintaining accurate records and managing projects. Experience with office management software and systems, such as project management and inventory tools, will enhance your effectiveness. A basic understanding of building maintenance or facilities management will also be advantageous in this role.
This position will work 7.5 hours a day between the hours of 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY with a lunch break and IS hybrid (at least 2 days a week in office). This position may need to work outside of normal business hours occasionally, WITH frequent LOCAL AND REGIONAL TRAVEL.

Salary Statement :
The typical offer range for this role is from minimum to midpoint, with the midpoint representing the average pay for this in a market scope. Please note that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade for which this position belongs to. The salary offer considers a variety of factors relevant to this position, which includes knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The full salary range for this position at HWMUW is $42,753 - $64,130.
