What are the responsibilities and job description for the In Home Direct Support Professional position at Heart to Heart Home Care?
Heart to Heart Home Care is seeking professional, compassionate Direct Support Professional who are enthusiastic about making a positive difference in the lives of our consumers in their homes.
The male client is wheelchair bound, so all ADL’s are needed. Staff gets client from his bed while helping him stand and rotate to the wheelchair, and lifts him from the wheelchair to the van for transport, etc. They are to get him out of bed in the morning, change his diapers, change his bed linen, supervise his meals, continuously engage with him.
The client schedule is Monday and Tuesday 7am to 8pm.
$28.00 per hour
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide direct support to consumers in their homes. Provide support, transportation and assistance for each individual to enable him/her to complete daily routines in a safe, healthy, productive and dignified manner. This usually includes toileting, bathing, dressing, laundry, supervision and recreation. Encourages independence by providing both the opportunity and the appropriate levels of skill training for the individuals in categories such as self-care, household chores, social skills and recreation skills, etc.
Requirements
· Valid New Jersey Driver’s License and Auto Insurance
· Physical (within the last year)
· One step PPD (if PPD is positive, we require a Chest X-ray report)
· 2 forms of ID (Driver’s License, SS Card, etc.)
· CPR/FA Certification (if not certified, training will be provided)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00 per hour
