What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Field Technician position at HeartCentrix Solutions?
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for incident and service request tickets assigned by the IT Help Desk via the IT Service Management System.
- Install, configure, and deploy workstations, printers, modems, phones, and other computing and telecommunications technologies.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all local IT hardware, equipment installations, and configurations.
- Manage physical setup and upkeep, including cable connections, wire management, and emergency power systems.
- Administer and support operating systems and application software, including system upgrades and patch management.
- Offer general support for PC software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, email, and communication tools.
- Coordinate and schedule vendor maintenance, support visits, and hardware repairs.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to emergency outages and provide support for local sites outside of standard business hours.
- Provide remote technical support for users and other sites from the primary location.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT support or desktop support roles.
- Strong knowledge of hardware installation, system administration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with software deployment, upgrades, and patching.
- Experience with remote support tools and ITSM platforms.
- Ability to work flexible hours and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
