Responsibilities:
- Design and Architecture: Develop high-level and detailed network designs to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
- Implementation: Deploy and configure advanced networking solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other core components.
- Security: Implement and manage network security measures to protect against vulnerabilities, intrusions, and data breaches.
- Troubleshooting: Perform advanced troubleshooting to resolve critical and complex network issues, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors to evaluate, procure, and implement hardware and software solutions.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of network designs, configurations, and processes for operational continuity.
- Leadership: Mentor and guide junior network engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth.
- Compliance: Ensure all network systems and operations adhere to industry standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- CCIE Certification (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) is mandatory.
- Extensive knowledge of networking protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, and QoS.
- Expertise in configuring and managing enterprise-grade routers, switches, and firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto).
- Strong understanding of network security practices, including VPNs, encryption, and firewalls.
- Experience with SD-WAN and network virtualization technologies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and interact with executive stakeholders.
- Strong command-line proficiency and ability to brief technical and non-technical teams.
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 10 years of experience in network architecture, design, and implementation, with at least 5 years in a senior-level role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale network projects.
