Hearth & Home Technologies (HHT) the industry leader in fireplace and stove design and manufacturing is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Outdoor Greatroom Company Business in Lakeveille, MN.
Each summer, 15 to 20 students from a variety of majors, join the HHT family for a summer focused on hands on learning, professional development, and networking. This is a paid internship at $24.00 per hour. Throughout the summer, professional development sessions are provided for interns including opportunities to learn from and network with senior leadership.
As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern with Outdoor GreatRoom, you join a fast-paced operations team working alongside many leaders and other experienced engineers who have a vision and passion for implementing solutions and exceeding our customers’ expectations. While no day will be the same, you can expect to put the knowledge you have gained in the classroom to use every day in a variety of experiences. From working on the development and implementation of production and processing methods to controls for quality standards, our engineering interns are challenged and charged with continually seeking better ways of conducting business: How can this be improved?
The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will be responsible for 1 large project and several smaller projects throughout the summer. The projects will have a focus on Lean Manufacturing. The large project will consist of analyzing a current production line, identify improvement opportunities, Implement solutions, and verify the results. The smaller projects will involve supporting current new product develop teams in the implementation of the new manufacturing product lines. This role will work closely with the manufacturing group and well as the R&D engineering team.

- Pursuing a four-year engineering degree - Sophmore or Junior year currently
- You enjoy working on a team to brainstorm new ideas
- Think outside the box and question the norm
- Enjoy taking an idea and making it a reality
- Strong communication skills are required
- Excel Experience
