The Corporate Food Safety & Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Performance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving food safety and quality management systems across a global food company. This role ensures compliance with international food safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies while driving operational excellence through data-driven performance monitoring. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, supply chain, regulatory, and R&D, to uphold the highest standards of product quality, safety, and consistency.
Job Duties:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Compliance
Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s Food Safety & Quality Management System (FSQMS) in alignment with industry standards (e.g., GFSI, BRC, SQF, ISO 22000, HACCP).
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in key markets (e.g., FDA, USDA, CFIA, Codex Alimentarius).
Maintain documentation and records to support food safety and quality compliance.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
Training & Culture Development
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for food safety and quality performance at global and site levels.
Utilize data analytics and digital tools to monitor trends, identify risks, and drive proactive quality improvements.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
Develop and deliver training programs to enhance food safety and quality awareness across all levels of the organization.
Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement within manufacturing and supply chain teams.
Supplier & Customer Collaboration
Manage customer quality programs, including ensuring compliance to their standards, site audit readiness, and monitoring areas for improvement.
Partner with customers to address quality concerns and drive satisfaction through robust quality systems.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times.
Comply with all safety, health and environmental regulations as prescribed by law.
Comply with all Company rules, regulations and policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Masters degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Technical Writing, or a related field.
Thorough understanding of quality management practices concerning product & packaging quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in food safety, quality, technical writing, quality systems management, or a related role within the food industry.
Strong knowledge of global food safety regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP, FSMA).
Proficiency in data analysis tools and quality management software.
Certification in HACCP, PCQI, Six Sigma, or other relevant programs preferred.
Proven knowledge of SQF and/or BRCGS
Experience with Kosher, Organic, Non-GMO preferred
Experience in contract manufacturing preferred
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

The pay range for this full-time, salaried position is $124,818 - $187,226/year. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
