TITLE: ASPHALT LABORER

Job Summary: We are looking for motivated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Asphalt Laborers. In this role, you will become an essential part of our crews, contributing to the construction and maintenance of roads, driveways, and parking lots. This position involves physically demanding tasks and requires a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work long hours in various weather conditions. You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and application of asphalt, operating and maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. On the job training will provide the knowledge and skills to become a productive member of one of our crews, with the potential for advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and placement of asphalt on roads, driveways, and parking lots.
• Operate and maintain various equipment and tools used in asphalt paving and repair.
• Ensure the work area is safe and clean, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Perform manual labor tasks such as shoveling, raking, and sweeping asphalt.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials and equipment.
• Work collaboratively with the team to complete projects efficiently and to high standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in asphalt paving or construction is preferred but not required.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving stretching, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and standing for extended periods.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced crew members.
• Willingness to travel and work long hours as needed.

Working Hours and Shifts:

• This is a Full-time Seasonal Position, working April through November (weather permitting).
• Average work days are typically 12-14 hours, requiring overtime and working occasional Saturdays.

· Travel is required throughout the region, with occasional overnight stays compensated.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have Valid Driver’s license. Class A CDL is preferred but not required.
• Pre-Employment Drug Test and Physical Required.
• Adherence to company attendance policies to ensure consistent crew performance.
• Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with co-workers, customers, and the public.
• Compliance with all industry regulations and safety standards.
