Description :
SUMMARY : Primary job is to set up, monitor and troubleshoot all machines in the Sub Assy area. This requires specialized knowledge of materials, specific tools and equipment. Troubleshooting tasks might include dealing with inconsistent material, faulty equipment, human error and preventing defects from occurring.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Include the following but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Machine / Equipment :
o Performing preventive maintenance assignments. (Instruction manuals, etc)
o Be able to perform machine set up and operate machinery in a safe manner.
o Understand and be able to operate and assist individual process stations on all equipment.
o Capable of clearing all faults and restarting machine
o Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
o Maintain 5S3D, Kaizen and SQDCME.
o Must be able to do maintenance on the equipment in their specific work areas. As well as make necessary adjustments to the machines to produce quality parts.
2. Training :
o Train and assist all associates on machine operations and adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards.
o Analyzes and provide inputs to resolves work problems or assists associates in solving work problems.
3. Inform Team Leader or Production Manager of any and all quality issues.
4. Accurate completion of paperwork and data entry when needed.
5. Fill in for associates when necessary.
Qualifications : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
Education and / or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years manufacturing experience (preferred experience with Heartland Automotive).

Strong interpersonal skills and good verbal and written communication skills
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office Word and Microsoft Outlook.
Knowledge of Pareto Charts.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Lead and guide associates on specific training related to the “Essential Duties and Responsibilities” listed above.
Language Skills :
Ability to read and analyze information. Ability to write reports and work instructions. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
Mathematical Skills :
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
