Job Summary:
The Commercial Concrete Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all phases of commercial concrete construction projects, from pre-construction through project close-out. This role ensures that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to plans and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage commercial concrete projects from start to finish.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
- Develop project schedules and budgets; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
- Maintain communication with clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor work progress, safety, and quality control.
- Prepare RFIs, change orders, and submittals.
- Track and report job costs, labor hours, and material usage.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Lead project meetings and generate progress reports.
- Resolve issues related to delays, scope changes, or other project-related conflicts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial concrete construction, with at least 2 years in a project management role.
- Strong knowledge of concrete formwork systems, finishing, and placement.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand construction documents and specifications.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- OSHA 30 Certification (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred, but not required).
Work Environment:
- Combination of office and field work.
- Must be able to walk construction sites, climb stairs/ladders, and lift 50 lbs.
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project location.
