Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee civil concrete construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring quality and safety compliance. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and expertise in concrete construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Management:
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Construction Oversight:
- Supervise all aspects of concrete construction, including site preparation, formwork, reinforcement, pouring, and finishing.
- Ensure compliance with structural and safety standards.
- Oversee quality control procedures and resolve issues promptly.
Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Manage and direct on-site construction teams and subcontractors.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
- Conduct project meetings and provide regular progress reports.
Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce OSHA and company safety policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure all permits, regulations, and environmental guidelines are followed.
Financial & Contract Management:
- Review contracts, negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors and track project costs.
- Approve invoices, change orders, and project expenditures.
- Prepare cost estimates and assist in bid proposals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 5 years of experience in concrete construction project management.
- Strong knowledge of concrete materials, construction techniques, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- OSHA certification and familiarity with safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong financial and budgeting skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- ACI (American Concrete Institute) Certification
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification
Work Environment:
- Work is primarily performed on construction sites with occasional office-based tasks.
- Travel to job sites as needed.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions and lift/move moderate loads.
