Claims Clerk II
Primary Responsibility
Provide assistance to workers compensation claim adjusters by performing a variety of duties.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Performs data entry functions (claim checks, claim file updates, forms, form letters, electronic interfaces, etc.) as directed by claims adjuster or supervisor.
- Assist with electronic mail, filing, and general office duties relating to insurance (W/C) claims.
- Process indemnity payments
- Files electronic first report of injury documentation.
- Efficiently expedite correspondences and update diaries.
- Resolves routine administrative problems and answers inquiries.
- Correct and resubmit claims EDI errors
Additional Functions & Responsibilities
- Reviews, prepares, and creates forms.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 – 2 years of experience in customer service and administrative support duties
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a claims support role, specifically in workers’ compensation
- Previous experience working with claims system software

- Strong mathematical skills
- Ability to learn new procedures quickly and adapt to a changing environment
