What you will do :
The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new revenue and building and maintaining strong client relationships in the Solids Waste Industry with a specific focus on plastics waste conversion. The primary functions of this role include opportunity pipeline development and validation, proposal lifecycle management, sales growth, contract negotiations, and superior customer service.
Position Responsibilities :
- Develop and Mature Commercial Opportunities : Establish and nurture personal working relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, based on value, knowledge, trust, and character.
- Consultative Selling : Conduct on-site visits with prospective customers to provide consultative selling of our Build-Own-Operate services, requiring comfort with selling complex projects.
- Strategic Planning : Create and execute an ongoing strategic plan to effectively develop and manage growth within the Solids Waste Industry.
- Proposal and Presentation Development : Develop and deliver superior proposals and presentations that demonstrate business value to customers.
- Sales Process Management : Lead prospects to pursue Heartland’s project development process based on its novel thermal conversion technologies and service-based commercial model.
- Industry Knowledge : Understand the competitive industry environment and use that knowledge to maximize sales opportunities. Stay updated on equipment offerings and technology.
- Market Penetration : Build, deepen, and maintain high-level contacts with current and prospective business partners to increase market penetration and brand recognition.
- Market and Technology Trends : Develop and maintain a high level of understanding of national market trends, client trends, and technology trends and advancements.
- Strategy and Tactics : Conceive, articulate, implement, and manage regional commercial strategies working as a single contributor and in collaboration with external developers.
- Sales Tools Utilization : Utilize sales tools, CRM, and other resources to maximize communication with customers and management.
