Job Title: After-School Teacher
Location: Hearts & Minds Childcare – 8980 North 85th Street, Wisconsin
Hours: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Job Description:
Hearts & Minds Childcare is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After-School Teacher to join our team! This position is perfect for a passionate educator who enjoys working with school-age children in a fun, engaging, and structured after-school environment.
As an After-School Teacher, you will be responsible for supervising and leading activities for children, ensuring a safe and nurturing atmosphere, and fostering a positive learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe, structured after-school program
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including arts & crafts, games, and enrichment projects
- Assist with homework help and encourage positive learning experiences
- Foster a supportive and respectful classroom environment
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the program
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration
Qualifications:
- Must be a certified childcare teacher with completed childcare training courses
- Previous experience working with school-age children in a group setting preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills
- Ability to create an engaging and supportive environment for children
- Must pass all required background checks
