HeartShare St. Vincent’s Services (HSVS) Nuevo Camino program is dedicated to providing 38 unaccompanied minors, ages 5-12, with a supportive, nurturing
environment through transitional foster homes, daily education Monday - Friday, and supportive wrap-around services in the East Brooklyn section of New York
City. Our program is rooted in ensuring that service delivery is trauma informed, culturally appropriate, and tailored to the needs of each child while maintaining
all program requirements of ORR.
HeartShare St. Vincent’s Services is looking for a Prevention of Sex Abuse Compliance Manager who will detect and respond to sexual abuse and sexual
harassment of children in our Unaccompanied Minor Program.
Responsibilities:
- Lead communication with the Office of Refugee Resettlement in reference to tracking and compliance; represent the agency in required PSA meetings.
- Make recommendations for agency policies, protocols, and procedures related prevention of sexual abuse.
- Develop and disseminate brochures, posters, and other educational materials required by law.
- Ensure risk management interventions are followed.
- Collaborate with management about risk, reporting, policy, and procedure.
- Review incidents and reports and develop corrective action plans.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to provide the required information for investigations, schedule interviews and collect documentation.
- Work closely with Quality Improvement Manager, Program Administrator to ensure all data is reported and tracked internally.
- Performs other duties as delegated.
- This is a 24 hour facility and overtime may be required for this role as needed.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social service fields; or a bachelor’s degree in business administration or management
- At least two years of experience working with child welfare standards, best practices, or quality assurance or compliance.
- Bilingual written and verbal proficiency required: English/Spanish or Creole 4 Must have a knowledge of unaccompanied children and immigration
