Responsibilities
- Develop and design menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, preparation and presentation meet established standards.
- Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
- Participate in food service management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and performance evaluations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the restaurant or catering industry.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and food presentation styles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with food service management principles is a plus.
- A culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not required.
