We're looking for an Accounts Payable (AP) associate to join the team. The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for managing and processing vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely and accurate manner. This role ensures compliance with company policies and procedures while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:Accounts Payable & Yardi BillPay:
- Process and manage Vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliation using Yardi BillPay.
- Monitor payment status, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Review and resolve discrepancies in vendor payments and statements.
1099 Filing & Compliance:
- Ensure proper classification of vendors for 1099 reporting.
- Assist with year-end 1099 preparation and filing, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations.
- Collect and maintain W-9 forms from vendors.
Vendor Setup & VendorCafe Management:
- Manage new vendor setup and onboarding in Yardi and VendorCafe.
- Verify vendor compliance, including insurance & tax documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records.
- Assist vendor with VendorCafe registration and troubleshooting issues.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
- Hands-on experience with Yardi BillPay, 1099 filing, and VendorCafe are required.
- Strong understanding of AP processes, vendor management, and compliance.
- Poficiency in Microsoft Excel & Accounting software.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience in real estate or property management industry is a plus
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Associate's degree with relevant experience may be considered
