This role is onsite and based at Widow Jane Distillery in Red Hook, Brooklyn. This position is required to work nights and weekends.
Bar schedule is as follows : Thursday 9am-5pm; Friday 4pm-10pm; Saturday-Sunday 2pm-10pm
What the Role Is
The Widow Jane Bartender will be responsible for creating a memorable and unique experience within our tasting room and for flawless operation of the bar. The Bartender will entertain & educate guests, providing efficient beverage service and maintaining the bar’s cleanliness and overall appearance.
How You Will Spend Your Time?
- Provide an exceptional guest experience and connect with visitors through education and bar menu selections, maintaining a positive guest / customer relation
- Develop and maintain complete knowledge of all Widow Jane products
- Knowledgeable of and able to execute most up to date mixology methods, a wide variety of drink recipes, garnishes for drinks, preparation methods / times of drinks, ingredients necessary, portion sizes, presentation and prices
- Maintain highest health standards, sanitation and cleanliness in the beverage / bar area to meet local, state and government guidelines.
- Ensure all service items such as menus, etc. are cleaned, in good condition and replaced as required
- Strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors and driving while under the influence
- Participate in continuous training and educational opportunities to further develop brand advocacy concepts
- Maintain bar cleanliness by cleaning classes, putting away items and organizing kitchen fridge daily, changing / taking out garbage, maintaining clean restroom

In New York, the expected compensation range for this role is $21.00 per hour plus tips. Actual starting pay may differ based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
