This role is onsite and based at Widow Jane Distillery in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The schedule will be Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 4:00pm.
What the Role Is
Widow Jane Distillery is looking for a Production Associate who is proficient on the Forklift (3 years of experience preferred) and comfortable driving a 20' Penske Box truck. Candidate will work closely with the operations, production and warehouse teams to learn and assist with the daily functions of warehouse and distillery production.
How You Will Spend Your Time?
- Rearranging and Stacking Warehouse Inventory and Barrels
- Loading and Unloading Trucks on Forklift
- Transporting Inventory from one Warehouse to another via Penske Truck
- Pulling Samples, Bottling, Labeling, Packing, and other Distillery Tasks
- Assisting in Assembling Whiskey Blends
Who You Are…
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year previous manufacturing/production experience in a brewery, winery or distillery preferred
- Must have valid driver’s license and physically able to lift 50 pounds.
- OSHA and handling of Hazardous Materials training a plus
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to work in a team and be a self-starter
Physical Requirements
While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

In New York, the expected compensation range for this role is $21.00 per hour plus tips. Actual starting pay may differ based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
