This is an onsite position at our Bardstown Bottling site.
What the Role Is
The Health and Safety Coordinator will assist in the implementation and enforcement of Heaven Hill organizational safety programs. This position will be responsible for assisting in moving the company to a people centered culture and zero-incident state through accident prevention, policy enforcement, auditing and training. The Coordinator will work in a team, to ensure the safety of all employees as well as the safety of any individual that may visit Heaven Hill facilities.
How You Will Spend Your Time?
- Support the execution of corporate safety programs at the assigned facility.
- Attend site operations meetings on behalf of safety, and report out on safety initiatives, incidents, and organizational metrics in the absence of the site Specialist.
- Inspect work areas regularly for safety hazards and participate in weekly site walk inspections.
- Participate in facility audits for compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Evaluate workplace environments, equipment and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations
- Monitor incident investigations and recordkeeping, and conduct investigations as needed
- Support the corporate training program and create educational materials as needed.
- Support safety committee meetings, the development of committee agendas, and complete reports / documentation as directed.
- Participate in post-accident investigations and near misses for process and procedural improvements
- Assist in the enforcement of all company safety a programs, policies and procedures.
- Serve as a link between management and employees by fielding questions, interpreting, and helping to resolve safety-related issues in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of OSHA regulations and educate employees on changes.
- Assist in compiling incident trending data for monthly reporting.
- Lead the facility’s personal protective equipment program.
- Ability to motivate change into a Safety-Focused culture.
- Embody and support the organizations core values.
- Assist in facilitating and tracking safety related training.
- Generate HS incident reports utilized during weekly site Gimba walks.
- Other duties as assigned.

While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
