We are seeking a dedicated and professional individual to join our team as a Pet Transport Driver for deceased pet pickup and transport services. This is a physically demanding and emotionally sensitive position that requires strength, professionalism, and reliability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely pick up and transport deceased pets from veterinary offices and private residences to our facility.
- Handle pet remains with dignity and care while assisting grieving pet owners.
- Maintain professionalism and compassion in sensitive situations.
- Load and unload pets of various sizes (lifting up to 100 lbs independently).
- Keep accurate records of pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain the company vehicle in clean and operational condition.
Job Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 100 lbs consistently.
- Comfortable handling deceased animals in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Flexible schedule, with availability for on-call shifts, nights, and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in pet services, veterinary assistance, transport, or related fields.
- Previous experience in a physically demanding job (e.g., delivery, construction, warehouse work).
