The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong understanding of safety protocols in a shop environment. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on heavy construction equipment and parts. The Industrial Painter will work closely with other team members to maintain efficiency and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.
- Apply paint using various techniques including airless paint spraying and traditional methods.
- Operate cranes and forklifts to move materials safely within the shop and yard.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols while working in the shop environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial painting or auto painting is preferred.
- Basic math skills for measuring and mixing paint accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with auto body repair techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
