Construction Manager

**This position is located in Fresno, CA. Relocation or commute required**

We are a heavy civil and substation construction company primarily working in Northern California, the Central Valley, and the Bay Area.

$85000 - $150000 / Yr

401k, Medical, Dental, Vision, Vacation and Paid Holidays.

Company Vehicle, Bonus based on company profitability.

7:00 am - 4:00 pm / Monday - Friday

The Construction Manager provides leadership and direction to staff under the guidance of the CEO to achieve the company's goals. This role involves organizing and managing staff to offer effective solutions to clients and overseeing the estimating, project management, project delivery, and billing process.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising the daily operations of the company
• Overseeing and participating in the estimation of projects and project management
• Executing the company's goals
• Developing processes that foster teamwork, morale, enthusiasm, and motivation for personal and team success
• Creating a performance management process including regular feedback and specific development plans for all employees
• Managing the organizational chart as set by the CEO
• Creating and updating policies and procedures, when necessary
• Ensuring that company expenditures are within the authorized annual budget
• Overseeing and/or auditing project cost controls, budgets, invoicing, estimates, and project forecasts, and providing regular updates to management with an emphasis on profit, reduced under-billings, positive cash flow, and timely project closeout procedures
• Generating monthly work-in-progress reports for the bonding company
• Leading in resolving any contractual, legal, and compliance issues with clients or suppliers, when necessary
• Setting and ensuring compliance with workplace safety
• Conducting formal investigations into workplace complaints
• Establishing yearly contract pricing with vendors
• Identifying possible business development opportunities
• Representing the company at industry events and committees
• Building relationships with key partners and stakeholders

Requirements

• Degree in construction or business management, and/or 15 years of related experience
• Proven experience in leadership
• Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles
• Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices
• Entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills
