Length of Contract: 195 days
Job Description
Library Media Specialists administer libraries and perform related library services. Their tasks may include selecting, acquiring, cataloguing, classifying, circulating, and maintaining library materials; and furnishing reference, bibliographical, and readers' advisory services. They may set up or work with databases and information systems to catalogue and access information.

- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information
- Ability to organize and manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously and independently to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiates instruction based upon student learning styles.
- Ability to work with people of various personality types.
- Ability to use computer network systems and software applications as needed.
- Ability to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Other Duties: Other duties as assigned by principal or superintendent
Qualifications: Secondary Library/Media Specialist Licensure in the State of Arkansas, Minimum of 5 years experience as a certified teacher

Working with frequent interruptions
Works in standard office and school building environments
Frequent contact with parents, community, and other district/campus employees
Daily attendance and punctuality expected
