PRIMARY FUNCTION
This position is primarily focused on the triage and troubleshooting of issues and requests from customers. The Technologies Coordinator must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and function effectively as part of a team. They will work with issues related to laptops, desktops, and software, as well provide telecommunications, and network support, training and troubleshooting in a mid-sized networked environment for an Architectural & Engineering firm with multiple locations.
TYPICAL DUTIES
- Answer, evaluate, troubleshoot, and prioritize incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail, chat, and in-person requests for assistance from customers experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, printers, and other technologies.
- Troubleshoot, identify problems, research, isolate, resolve and follow up on routine customer problems, referring more complex problems to a supervisor or the appropriate technical staff.
- Log and track incidents and service requests in the Help Desk system and update the knowledge base with related problem documentation in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of software used throughout the company, including but not limited to Microsoft desktop operating systems and applications.
- Install, support, and upgrade hardware and software.
- Support and maintain various telecommunications, audiovisual, and computer related equipment.
- Maintaining computer equipment inventory in the IT asset management database.
- Contact vendors and utilize on-line technical support to resolve issues or obtain software updates.
- Work with, respond to, and take direction from supervisors, department directors, and other members of leadership.
- Work independently with limited direction and supervision.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
- Limited travel between offices will be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is sedentary and often performed in an office setting. Work area is lighted, heated, and ventilated. This position may require extended periods of standing, sitting, as well as some repetitive movements, bending and lifting of minimal weight.
