Hedley ISD is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Agricultural Science Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide engaging instruction in agricultural sciences, support student involvement in FFA activities, and foster a positive learning environment that encourages student achievement and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, and deliver effective agricultural science instruction aligned with state standards.
Prepare students for and facilitate participation in FFA competitions, events, and leadership activities.
Manage and supervise agricultural projects, including animal care, plant science, and agribusiness.
Maintain and oversee school agricultural facilities, including classrooms, greenhouses, and livestock areas.
Collaborate with other staff, parents, and community members to promote agricultural education.
Support student success through academic guidance and career counseling in agricultural pathways.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines related to agricultural programs.
Attend and participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school functions.
They must be knowledgeable in multiple aspects of the Ag-FFA world including, Stock Showing, and AG CDE and LDE Programs.
