Job Title: Real Estate Transaction Coordinator
Location: Harrisonburg, VA
Job Summary
The Real Estate Transaction Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth and efficient transaction process from contract to close. This individual serves as the backbone of the real estate team, managing all administrative aspects of the transaction while maintaining excellent communication with clients, agents, lenders, title companies, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized, with a strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Management: Oversee all aspects of the real estate transaction process, from signed purchase agreement to closing.
Document Preparation and Review: Ensure all contracts, addendums, disclosures, and other paperwork are completed, accurate, and submitted on time.
Timeline Coordination: Monitor contract deadlines, including inspections, financing contingencies, and appraisals, and communicate with relevant parties to ensure on-time completion.
Client Communication: Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any questions or concerns throughout the process.
Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with lenders, title/escrow companies, inspectors, and other third-party vendors to facilitate a seamless closing process.
File Compliance: Maintain organized transaction files in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as brokerage policies.
Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any potential issues that could delay or complicate the transaction.
Administrative Support: Provide additional administrative support to agents and team members as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience as a Real Estate Transaction Coordinator or in a similar role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of real estate transaction processes, contracts, and local regulations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Real Estate Software, CRM, MLS is preferred but not required.
- Customer service-oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Real estate license (preferred but not required).
