Position: SR. Procurement and Contract Specialist
Pay Rate/Salary: $35.78/hr.
Location: Stockton, CA
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
Job Description: Coordinate, and perform a variety of complex technical duties related to contract administration
and the procurement of supplies, equipment, materials and services including reviewing
and prioritizing requisitions, obtaining price quotes, proposal, selecting vendors, manage informal bid
process under the California Uniform Construction Cost Account Act (CUPCCAA) assisting in the formal bid
process, awarding purchase orders, maintain database content and physical inventories.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development and implementation of contracts, strategic procurement planning, procurement
- policies and procedures, procurement training and procurement card administration.
- Collaborate with District staff to prepare detailed specifications for bids and proposals.
- Research, identify and evaluate price, quality and availability of goods and services. Negotiates contract
- language; utilize efficient and economical procurement practices and methods to select appropriate vendors
- or service providers for the District.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, District employees, and the community.
- Coordinate demonstrations with vendors related to materials, products and services.
- Review, identify and obtain certificates of insurance.
- Analyze purchase requisitions.
- Manage and audit inventory
- Serve as a liason between multiple departments to resolve discreprencies.

Education: Associates Degree in BA, logistics, general accounting or finance.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of purchasing or buying exp.
- 2 years of lead exp.
- Knowledge of public sectors preferred.
- Computerized procurement software applications.
