We're currently looking for an Electromechanical Assembly Technician who's precise, dependable, and takes pride in their craft. What You'll Do
- Assemble and test electrical and mechanical components for ocean gliders
- Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, applying strong quality control practices
- Perform system-level testing and accurately record test data
- Light soldering
- Keep a clean, organized, and safety-conscious workspace
- Provide hands-on feedback to improve manufacturing and assembly processes
- Collaborate with engineers as part of a close-knit, agile team
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred
- 5 years of experience in electromechanical assembly and system testing
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, including soldering and inspection (3 years of soldering preferred)
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, precision measurement devices, and component identification
- Excellent manual dexterity and comfort working with very small, tightly spaced components with accuracy, consistency, and detail
- Ability to work independently
- Capable of lifting and handling up to 50 lbs as part of assembly tasks
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- US Citizenship (required due to export control restrictions)
- Preferred: Familiarity with J-STD-001 standards or experience in marine, aerospace, or defense manufacturing
