What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electromechanical Service Technician position at NHV Americas, Inc.?
NHV Americas, Inc. (NHV-A) is looking for a full-time experienced Electromechanical Service Technician for the maintenance and repair of Electron Beam Processing Systems. This position will be working on-site in our Methuen, MA office.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule and communicate recommended preventive maintenance services with existing and new customers.
- Assist with customers annual preventative maintenance services, troubleshoot issues, and install replacement parts.
- Review and recommend spare parts for customer PM services or their stores.
- Be available to answer customer questions by phone and email, which may require research of their records and installation records.
- Be the point of contact related to scheduling services between our headquarters in Japan, the office in the USA, and our customers in the Americas.
- Maintain local inventory and restock as needed.
- Packaging and shipping of parts from inventory and inspecting returned parts for maintenance.
Expectations
- Must be a person of integrity with a strong willingness to help our customers.
- Willing to travel (up to 50%) domestically and occasionally international, which may include weekends.
- Familiarity with Operating & Maintenance Manuals and able to read schematics and other technical drawings.
- Must learn the operation of Electron Beam Processing Systems. Training will be provided onsite, at customer sites, and at our parent company headquarters.
- Must be a well-organized individual with the ability to write comprehensive after-action reports.
- A sense of urgency with respect to organizing people and solutions to solve a customers’ issue.
Qualifications
- Technical training in electronics and instrumentation.
- 5-10 years’ experience in the servicing of electro-mechanical equipment and systems.
- Mechanically adept person with a willingness to “roll up their sleeves” as necessary.
- Experience with forklifts and pallet lifts.
- Adept in the use of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
