Healthcare Operations Analyst

The Operations Analyst serves as a data and process optimization expert for Hegira Health, playing a key role in enhancing operational efficiency and decision-making across the organization. This position works closely with clinical, financial, IT, and executive teams to analyze and streamline business processes, leveraging technology and data to improve workflows, reporting, and communication. With a focus on innovation and problem-solving, this role supports strategic initiatives that drive efficiency, financial sustainability, and high-quality care delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related technical field.
• Experience with business intelligence software such as Power BI and Crystal Reports preferred.
• Three (3) or more years’ experience in a business operations and/or technology environment; preferably in the health care industry.
• Experience using Excel Data Analysis with PivotTable and Power Pivot.
• Knowledge of healthcare operations, billing systems, and revenue cycle management preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL, DAX, and familiarity with Power Query M for data analysis and reporting.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepares management reports that identify operational inefficiencies, evaluate problems, and recommend actionable solutions.
• Defines data requirements, gathers and validates information, and applies statistical tests for accuracy and insight.
• Translates management input into defined operational challenges, developing data-backed solutions.
• Observes and assesses workflows and business processes, gathering and analyzing relevant data from multiple sources.
• Creates and maintains relational databases and data models using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Server.
• Designs, develops, and maintains interactive Power BI dashboards that provide real-time, actionable insights.
• Identifies, tests, and implements EHR (Electronic Health Record) process improvements to optimize clinical and financial operations.
• Monitors and reconciles data across EHR systems and third-party applications to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Defines data requirements and validation processes for effective data capture in the EHR and other databases.
• Analyzes claims data and collaborates with the billing department to identify areas for revenue cycle and process improvements.
• Uses Crystal Reports and Power BI to design and generate reports for various stakeholders, including management and direct care staff.
