We are currently seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our accounting team at our main office in Castle Rock, CO. This role will work closely with the Controller to manage financial operations, oversee month-end close, and support budgeting, audits, and internal reporting. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, excellent analytical abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities :
- Financial Operations & Reporting : Assist the Controller with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Work in Progress : Review WIP and identify losses.
- Financial Statement Preparation : Prepare initial financial statements for review, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Payroll Accounting : Oversee payroll-related accounting duties, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Budget Support : Assist with budget preparation and analysis, providing detailed financial insights to aid in decision-making.
- Audit Support : Work directly with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with GAAP and industry standards.
- Leadership & Mentorship : Manage and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support.
- Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for efficiency and accuracy in financial operations and assist in implementing process improvements.
- Additional Ad Hoc duties.
