What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Controller position at Viaero Wireless?
Viaero's Assistant Controller is an integral part of the accounting team and is responsible for a wide variety of functions and responsibilities. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. They must be able to support and encourage teamwork while still be able to work independently to meet specific goals and timelines. This person will work onsite in Fort Morgan, Colorado.
Responsibilities
- Monthly closing duties for financial statement and other reporting requirements.
- Reconciliation of general ledger balances to detail.
- Organize data for leases, grants, and other special projects.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions including vendor, customer, and banking responsibilities.
- Provide support for new system integration and implementation initiatives.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation.
- Other responsibilities as directed.
- Adherence to internal financial controls plus all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Accounting and Supervisory experience
- Accounting degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or
- experience
- Good working knowledge of accounting principles and software
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record for the past 3-5 years, valid driver's license, clean or acceptable criminal background check, clean substance screening
The pay for this position has an anticipated salary range of $70,000 to $75,000. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and industry experience.
