Job Summary
As the Director of IT, you will be responsible for leading the technology strategy, implementation, and operations within the organization. You will collaborate with other executives to align technology initiatives with business goals and drive innovation to enhance efficiency, security, and competitiveness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned.
- Technology Strategy:
- Develop and execute the overall IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
- Provide leadership and guidance on technology investments and priorities.
- Infrastructure and Operations:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and systems.
- Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT systems and services.
- Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards.
- Application Development and Support:
- Lead the development and maintenance of software applications to support business functions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and roadmap application projects.
- Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
- Cybersecurity and Compliance:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to protect against internal and external threats.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Data Management and Analytics:
- Oversee the collection, storage, and analysis of data to support decision-making and business intelligence.
- Implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and privacy.
- Drive initiatives to leverage data analytics for insights and optimization.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing IT team, including hiring, training, and mentoring a team of approximately 20 individuals.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to team members to achieve departmental goals.
- Vendor Management:
- Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Monitor vendor performance and address issues as needed.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (10 years) in a senior leadership role in IT, preferably as a Sr Manager or Director.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and architecture.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle and/or Korber.
- Experience in Distribution Industry is strongly preferred.
- Facilities IT Infrastructure experience required.
- Expertise in cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align technology initiatives with business goals.
- Experience managing budgets, projects, and cross-functional teams.

- To perform the position, you must be a US Citizen due to certain Naval Contractual Agreements.
- Must be able to report to assigned office location during scheduled in-office workdays.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time.
- Strong computer skills, including proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Self-starter with ability to manage priorities and workflow (without micro-management).
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

- Some travel required.
