What are the responsibilities and job description for the Small Engines Mechanic position at Heimes Corp?
Small engine mechanic & technician is needed. Heimes Corporation is seeking qualified personnel to make repairs on smaller engines/tools and to perform general maintenance on vehicles & equipment. Heimes Corporation is a construction company based out of Omaha, Nebraska. Heimes Corp. provides a wide range of services including but not limited to: Excavating, Underground Utilities, Recycled Concrete, Plumbing, Directional Drilling, Fiber Splicing, Underground Storage Tanks, Wrecking, Transportation, and Hazardous Materials Cleanup/Hauling (ESI).
Full time is preferred, hours worked are open for negotiation. Full time applicants must have a valid driver’s license. Having your own tools is preferred. Ability to work on a wide range of equipment/vehicles is a necessity. Diagnose and repair equipment that includes but are not limited to: Quickie saws, chainsaws, generators, jumping jack compactors, plate compactors, power packs, pumps, mowers. Must be willing to learn and help out on heavy equipment and vehicles.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and abide by DOT regulations. Zero tolerance policy for cell phone use while behind the wheel (including hands free devices). We utilize the E-Verify system for employment eligibility. For construction safety reasons applicant must speak and understand the English language.
Pay varies depending on previous experience and skills. Scheduled work hours can be negotiated.
