Responsibilities:
- Lead business automation efforts to enhance underwriting processes, ensuring seamless data integration and minimal manual intervention.
- Define business objectives, manage the product backlog, and oversee stakeholder alignment.
- Collaborate closely with business units to understand their needs, drive adoption strategies, and advocate for process improvements.
- Work hands-on with Agile teams, writing user stories, defining epics and features, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Develop and maintain business rules to ensure the system functions correctly and supports key underwriting tasks.
- Utilize automation tools and AI-driven solutions to optimize workflows and improve efficiency.
- 7-10 years of experience as a Product Owner, with expertise in defining business cases, managing stakeholders, and driving product strategy.
- Strong background in insurance underwriting (P&C, personal, or commercial lines).
- Experience automating manual processes
- Experience creating business rules for technology solutions.
- Agile experience, including user story and epics creation (experience with Rally or similar tools preferred).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and engage in technical discussions.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, capable of identifying use cases and solutions that improve business operations.
- Experience with robotic process automation (RPA), OCR, or AI-driven data extraction.
- Familiarity with Intelligent Document Processing (IDP).
