NATURE
OF WORK & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Adaptive Equipment Specialist, under outpatient
services, will work in the transitional wellness center. Instructs
participants in group exercise classes and 1:1. Develops exercises programs for
all participants to meet their individualized goals. Ensures equipment is maintained. Will work
with therapy staff as needed to maximize participant success. Manages enrollment
paperwork for participants and collects monthly payments. Will maintain
caseload of exercise classes up to 7.5 hours daily and other duties as assigned
Requirements
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
Two
years of experience designing and manufacturing adaptive equipment; or two
years of skilled experience in carpentry or a related trade, one year of which
must have been designing and manufacturing adaptive equipment for individuals.
PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
Personal Trainer Certification with experience
teaching personal fitness classes to individuals with at all levels and
abilities. An understanding in instruction of 1:1 and group exercise programs
to those with special needs. Ability to
instruct clients on specialty exercises and equipment use
