The Helen Ross McNabb Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Loudon and Union County School Based Master's Level Liaison to join our team. As a member of our community, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families in our rural county schools.
- You will provide direct mental health services to students, including individual, family, and group counseling sessions.
- You will work closely with teachers and school staff to develop strategies to support students with emotional or behavioral challenges.
- You will participate in IEP and other school-related meetings to ensure effective collaboration with educational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Conducting assessments and developing treatment plans for students.
- Providing advocacy and linkage services to support students and their families.
- Maintaining accurate and complete records of client interactions and services provided.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in a human services field such as counselor or social work.
- At least two years' experience working with children with emotional or behavioral problems, or two years of experience with adolescent substance use/abuse prevention.
- Experience leading groups and trainings.
- Coursework in cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, trauma, suicide, and learning disorders.
- Licensure or licensable status.
