Job Purpose and Reporting Structure:
The Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects of the facility, including accounting practices, budgeting, cash management, and compliance. This role ensures the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes while supporting the company’s goals for growth and profitability. The Controller reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Accounting Oversight:
- Manage the accounting team, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of financial reports and statements.
- Oversee the maintenance of accounting systems and processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
- Develop and implement financial, billing, and auditing procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets, identifying trends and variances to recommend actionable insights for improvement.
- Prepare and analyze P&L statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports for decision-making.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Establish and maintain effective financial internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations, including tax filings and audits.
Risk Management:
- Support the evaluation and management of company liabilities and investments.
- Assist in maintaining appropriate levels of insurance coverage and employee benefit programs.
Team Leadership:
- Train and develop accounting team members to build a high-performing department.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Salary: $110k-$130k/yr
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- CPA Certification (preferred but not required).
- Prior Leadership experience (preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis, with a solid grasp of GAAP principles.
