What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Specialist position at Helget Home Care?
As the Accounting Specialist you will perform accounting, reporting and other administration duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. Your strong assessment skills, attention to detail and your ability to communicate effectively will be essential to this role. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative team while demonstrating your ability to maintain confidentiality and professional integrity.
What will you do in this role?
- Accounts payable and cash posting
- Prepare and process electronic payments
- Prepare and perform check runs
- Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
- Track expenses and process expense reports
- Enter purchase orders and verify equipment receipt
- Assemble, review, and verify invoices and check requests
- Produce monthly reports
- Assist with month end closing
Requirements:
- Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite (id: Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to type 55wpm with minimal errors
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional integrity
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- The ability to multi-task and prioritize while maintaining a high attention to detail
- Experience working in healthcare, home health or the medical field, preferred
