WHAT YOU'LL DO

As our Geotechnical Crawlspace Foreman , you will be responsible for leading teams in commercial and residential foundation repair, soil stabilization, crawlspace remediation, or concrete leveling projects. DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Lead teams of general construction laborers performing crawlspace-specific work, including excavation, stabilization, and waterproofing, alongside other physical tasks using hand tools and lifting materials;
Navigate confined spaces safely and effectively while ensuring team adherence to safety protocols;
Understand project schedules, assume additional responsibilities, and work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines;
Work cohesively with team members to exceed client expectations;
Maintain equipment daily to ensure it functions properly and safely;
Maintain quality control, site safety, and compliance with crawlspace geotechnical project standards;
Research and determine methods and procedures for new or unique crawlspace assignments in compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements;
Handle all employee matters with consistency and fairness without discrimination;
Maintain internal employee communication and engagement through feedback programs, surveys, and one-on-one meetings;
Align the work with Helicon's culture and strategic goals — Stay True, Communicate Clearly, Forecast Needs Outperform; and
Work with the team on mutually agreed-upon KPIs.

Requirements :

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

MUST HAVES :

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent;

3 years of experience in construction general labor, including crawlspace or geotechnical environments, and / or working outside for long hours;

Experience working in confined spaces or environments requiring specific safety protocols;

Reliable transportation, valid FL driver's license, and a clean driving record;

Familiarity with construction project team management and delegation;

The ability to be coached and mentored and collaborate within a team environment;

Possess excellent project management skills with the proven ability to drive ideas into action;

Enjoy thinking strategically to align perspectives, voices, and opinions;

A good human who cares about all humans;

Offer excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and meaningful relationships;

Knowledge of engineering and construction processes, codes, and standards, particularly in the geotechnical and crawlspace sectors; and

Well-organized and able to meet deadlines.

WORK SCHEDULE :

Varies; will require a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays;

Local day travel is required; and

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS :

Work near or with moving mechanical parts – Frequently;

Work in confined spaces and crawlspaces – Frequently;

Outdoor weather conditions – Occasionally; and

Moderate-Loud Noise.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

Must be able to lift / carry / push or pull - up to 50 pounds;

Must be able to hear equipment operating, alarms sounding, traffic, telephones; and

Ability to see clearly at 20 inches / 50 centimeters or less and at 20 feet / 6 meters or more.
