Controls Technician| $35+| Nightshift

Job Summary
The Control Panel Technician plays a crucial role in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of control panels used in various industrial applications. This position requires a blend of mechanical aptitude and technical skills to ensure that control systems operate efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong problem-solving abilities, and have a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.

Duties

• Assemble and fabricate control panels according to specifications and engineering drawings.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in panel construction.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of control panels using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools.
• Install and maintain logic controllers and other electronic components within the panels.
• Perform field service tasks, including installation, repair, and maintenance at client sites.
• Collaborate with engineers to militarise control systems for specific applications.
• Detect issues within existing systems and recommend improvements or modifications.
• Operate CNC machinery as needed for panel fabrication processes.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems.
• Proficiency in using ohmmeters and other testing equipment for diagnostics.
• Experience with fabricating control panels and related components.
• Familiarity with militarisation processes for industrial applications is a plus.
• Knowledge of logic controllers and their integration into control systems.
