We are now accepting resume / applications for EXPERIENCED Asphalt Equipment Operators for the Houma, LA & surrounding area. Duties / Responsibilities may / may not be limited to the following :
Responsible for operating a variety of equipment for groundwork and construction purposes
Duration of Job : Temp to HireBased on Job Performance
Requirements for Position :Experience with operating asphalt equipment (asphalt paver, screed, rollers, broom skid steer, backhoe, etc...)
Must be able to pass drug screenRequired Skills :Excellent hand-eye coordination.
Great written & verbal communicationHigh attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.Ability to work well with othersDuties / Responsibilities :Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.
Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.Observe distribution of paving material to adjust machine settings or material flow, and indicate low spots for workers to add material.Assist in placement, displacement, and moving various traffic control devices.Set up and tear down equipment.Shovel, rake and spread asphalt.Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned placesTransport raw materials to production workstations
Lift and carry merchandises / material as needed..Inspect merchandise upon delivery to identify any damages.Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipmentIdentify damages and report shortages or quality deficienciesInspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenanceMaintain equipment in safe and good working condition.
Mange house keeping activities when requested.Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
Assist in waste disposal and recycling activitiesCleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.Practice safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environmentMeet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standardsReport safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediatelyPhysical Requirements :Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS
Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasksAbility to work in varying hot and cold environmentsAbility to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
Ability to work in an environments with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gasesWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditionsThe employee is occasionally exposed to loud noise, fumes, and / or airborne particles and risk of electrical shockDocuments Required :Driver's License / Identification

Weekly PayPay Schedule : Monday - SundaySchedule :Monday - Friday (Weekends as Needed)
8 - 12 Hour Days (With Weather Permitting)
