We are currently taking applications / resumes fore EXPERIENCED General Laborers in the Slidell, LA and surrounding areas. Duties / Responsibilities may / may not include the following :
Responsible for assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. Ensures ground is prepped and trenches dug out for pipes. Aligns pipes and seals joints together with cement or glue.

Laying sections of pipe & completing connections between pipe sectionsCompleting welds on sections of metal pipe where metal piping is specifiedMaking connections to lines including sewer lines, water lines, & storm sewers.Ability to coordinate with pipe crews while working inside trench or trench boxes.Lay pipe for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains.Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints and coordinating layouts with supervisors.Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools.Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealingInstall or repair sanitary or storm water sewer structures or pipe systemsLocate existing pipes needing repair or replacement, using magnetic or radio indicators.Grouting experience is a plusExperience with checking gradePerform any combination of the following tasks : grade trenches or culverts, position pipe , or seal joints.Install or use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levels.Coordinate with operators to ensure PVC or RCP is properly connected and set to grade.Understand safety precautions associated with working in trenches and trench boxes.Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environmentMeet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standardsReport safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediatelyPhysical Requirements :Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
Must have good enduranceWill be required to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, and crawl to perform taskAbility to work in varying hot and cold environmentsAbility to work outdoors in harsh weather conditionsAbility to work in an environments with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gasesWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditionsThe employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shockMust be able to pass drug screen.Must have reliable transportation (Will be required to travel up to a 60 mile radius)Pay :Starting Pay : $16.00 - $18.00 (Based on experience)
Weekly PayPay Schedule : Monday - SundaySchedule :10-12 Hour Days (with weather permitting)
Duration of Job : Temp to Hire (Based on Job Performance)
